This list is to share good nutritional information with all interested parties. We are also very interested in keeping people informed of government rules and regulations that may affect our total industry and our rights, so be watching for those type of alerts.
We don't like rules, so don't want to make a bunch of them unless forced to. This online chat was mainly set up so Tom O'Brien and his nutritional advisor assistants could share their nutritional knowledge with others online. They answer questions submitted to our free resource website, Ask Tom:
Many people visiting this site will ask a question, and answers of a general nature are posted on this list. This is an active list with several posts a day which are answers to questions posted here on Ask Tom, as well as good, informative nutritional articles sent out for everyone's education. Please do not join if you do not like to get email :)
Nutrition Chat is an interactive discussion list. Ask questions, add your comments, and let's see if we can enlighten a lot of people. And if you make claims about a product, be prepared to back those claims up with research or other proof, as we have a lot of savvy people on this list who will be asking the hard questions and expecting good answers.
You are all welcome to participate in the discussion -- we simply ask that there be NO BLATANT ADVERTISING, and we ask that you keep a sig line to a reasonable length -- 6 to 8 lines should be plenty, and over that length please turn your sig line off when you post.
